"I am from a curious eight-year-old in a new country
to a young teenager comfortable in her new home.
I’m from fear of being killed in civil war to living a peaceful life,
where I can dream of becoming a pediatrician.
From worrying about will I get hit with falling metal
to being excited about each new day.
From one adult landlord friend in Turkey
to a dozen RAMP volunteer tutors and friends…"

Dear Friends of RAMP,
Welcome to RAMP's September newsletter. You will have the chance to meet two of our families. Hashmat and Tamana from Family 5 will introduce you to their beautiful new daughter, and Nafisa from Family 13 will share some of her experiences in Afghanistan. The board member profile will focus on the Grahams, Tom and me, both personally and as volunteers.
As you know, our borders remain closed to new refugees while the need in the world for safe spaces continues to grow. We are seeking to work with other refugee assistance groups in Northern New Jersey to build public support for a renewed and robust program of refugee resettlement.
Ninna is a mighty busy woman. She has a full household in Morristown with her mom, husband, and three teenaged children aged 13, 14 and 17. They also have three dogs, two of whom are former Seeing Eye dogs.
Oh, did we mention she is also the founder and CEO of Bella Roco, a firm providing strategic consulting to non-profit and commercial groups with digital strategies and technology solutions? She also provides guidance to startups and mid-sized firms.
